This Privacy Policy explains how Mooveonn (“Mooveonn”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use moveonn.in and its related services as a job seeker, an employer or a visitor. We process personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and, where they apply to you, other data protection laws such as the EU/UK GDPR.
By creating an account or using the website you confirm that you have read this policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use our services.
1. Who we are
Mooveonn is an online job portal that connects people looking for work with employers who are hiring. Mooveonn is the data fiduciary (data controller) for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at send@moveonn.in or through our contact page.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Job seekers
- Account information – name, email address, mobile number and password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form – we can never see it).
- Profile information – headline, photo, location, experience level, skills, education, qualifications, preferred job titles, work history, links such as LinkedIn and anything else you choose to add.
- Resumes and documents – files you upload. They are stored privately and are never publicly accessible.
- Applications – the jobs you apply to, your cover notes, application status and messages related to an application.
- Preferences – saved jobs, job alerts and email notification settings.
2.2 Employers and recruiters
- Account information – the name, work email address, mobile number and password of the person managing the account.
- Company information – company name, logo, website, industry, size, address and description, which appear on your public company profile.
- Job postings – job titles, descriptions, requirements, location, salary information and application settings.
- Recruitment activity – applications received, shortlisting decisions, interview details and private notes you add about candidates.
2.3 Information collected automatically
- Technical data – IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, dates and times, collected in server logs for security and to keep the service running.
- Security data – sign-in attempts and a hashed record of the devices you sign in from, so we can alert you to sign-ins from new devices and block suspicious activity.
- Cookies – small files explained in section 7 and in our Cookie Policy.
2.4 Information from others
Employers may update the status of your application (for example “Shortlisted” or “Interview”) and share interview details with you through Mooveonn. If you had an account on our previous platform, your account details, profile and applications were transferred to this website so you can continue using them.
3. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account, verify your email address and keep your account secure.
- For job seekers: to show relevant jobs, send job alerts you ask for, and send your application to the employer you apply to.
- For employers: to publish your company profile and jobs, deliver applications to you and help you manage your hiring.
- To send service emails – verification codes, password reset links, application updates and security alerts. You can switch off optional notifications in your dashboard.
- To detect, prevent and investigate fraud, fake job postings, spam, misuse and security incidents.
- To answer your questions and support requests.
- To improve the website, measure how features are used and fix problems.
- To meet legal obligations, enforce our Terms and Conditions and protect the rights and safety of our users.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Legal basis and consent
We process personal data on the basis of your consent (given when you register, apply for a job or choose optional features) and for legitimate uses permitted by law, such as providing the service you asked for, keeping the platform secure and complying with legal requirements. You can withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it, but we may no longer be able to provide some services.
5. How we share information
- With employers you apply to – when you apply, the employer for that job sees your profile, contact details, the resume you selected and your cover note. Employers do not get access to your profile unless you apply to one of their jobs.
- Public information – company profiles and job postings are public. Job seeker profiles are not public.
- Service providers – carefully selected companies that host the website, deliver our emails and provide similar technical services. They may use your data only to provide these services to us and must keep it secure.
- Legal reasons – when required by law, a court order or a government authority, or when necessary to prevent fraud or protect someone’s safety.
- Business changes – if Mooveonn is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred under the same protections.
Employers’ responsibility: employers who receive candidate information must use it only to assess candidates for the role applied to, keep it confidential and secure, and must not sell, publish or share it with others.
6. Your account information and choices
- Access and correction – you can view and update your account and profile details at any time from your dashboard.
- Notifications – you can change job alerts and optional email notifications in your dashboard. Essential account and security emails cannot be switched off while your account is active.
- Password – you can change your password in your dashboard. We will never ask for your password by email, phone or message.
- Deletion – you can ask us to delete your account and personal data on the Account and Data Deletion page. For your security we confirm the request by email first.
7. Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to run the website and keep it secure. We do not use advertising cookies.

Fonts may be loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you block essential cookies you will not be able to sign in. See our Cookie Policy for details.
8. How long we keep information
- Account and profile data – for as long as your account is active.
- Applications – for as long as your account exists, so you and the employer can see the history, and deleted with your account.
- Security and server logs – for a limited period, normally not more than 12 months, unless needed to investigate an incident.
- Email delivery records – a short log of recent deliveries (without message contents) for troubleshooting.
When data is no longer needed we delete it or anonymise it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
9. How we protect information
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS) for the whole website.
- Passwords stored only as secure hashes; password reset and verification links are single-use and expire.
- Resumes and documents stored in a private location and served only to people allowed to see them.
- Access controls, rate limiting, sign-in alerts and checks on uploaded files.
No system is completely secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, change your password immediately and contact us at send@moveonn.in.
10. Fraud and phishing
Mooveonn never asks job seekers to pay to apply for a job and never asks for your password, one-time code (OTP), bank or card details by email, phone or chat. If someone asks for money or such details in the name of Mooveonn or an employer on Mooveonn, do not respond and report it to us at send@moveonn.in. See our Disclaimer for more safety tips.
11. Third-party links
Job postings and company profiles may link to employers’ own websites or external application pages. These websites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for how they handle your information. Please read their policies before sharing personal data.
12. Children
Mooveonn is intended for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. International users
Our services are operated from India. If you use them from another country, your information will be processed in India and in the countries where our service providers operate, with appropriate safeguards.
14. Your rights and grievance redressal
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access a summary of your personal data, to correct, complete or update it, to have it erased, to withdraw consent, to nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity, and to have your grievances addressed.
To exercise these rights or raise a concern, contact our Grievance Officer at manish1993webhitters@gmail.com. We will acknowledge your request promptly and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India or your local data protection authority.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. If we make significant changes we will tell you by email or with a notice on the website.
